   • Federal Bank has sanctioned a term loan of Rs 500 crore to Cochin International Airport of new International terminal.
2. Oil India investing Rs 1,200 crore to revamp pump stations in Assam.
   •  In Assam Oil India investing Rs 1,200 crore to revamp the pump stations of pipelines for carrying crude to refineries.
3. SEBI appoints new chief vigilance officer.
   • Capital market watchdog SEBI has appointed Gyan Bhushan as its chief vigilance officer against R K Padmanabhan.
4. CM of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa sentenced to four years.
   •  Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was sentenced to four years in jail in an 18-year-old corruption case and fined Rs 100 crore.
   • She was taken to Bangalore jail.
5. Volcano erupts in Japan 250 trapped 11 hurt.
   • A volcano erupted in central Japan on Saturday, catching mountain climbers by surprise and trapping more than 250 people. At least 11 people were injured, including seven who were unconscious.

4. तमिलनाडु  की मुख्यमंत्री जजयललिता को चार साल की सजा।
   • तमिलनाडु की मुख्यमंत्री जे जयललिता को एक 18 वर्षीय भ्रष्टाचार के मामले में जेल में चार साल की सजा सुनाई और 100 करोड़ रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया गया था।
