- 88th Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan begins in Ghumaan, Punjab
- 8th Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan (All India Marathi Sahitya Sammelan) on 3 April 2015 began in Ghumaan village in Gurdaspur district of Punjab.
- It was inaugurated by Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari along with the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
- The three-day long sammelan is dedicated to Marathi Saint Bhagat Namdev (Sant Namdeo).
- Pedro Cateriano Is Peru’s New Prime Minister
- Peruvian President Ollanta Humala swore in Pedro Alvaro Cateriano Bellido as the nation’s new Prime Minister.
- Cateriano Bellino, who previously served as Defense Minister, replaces Ana Jara Velasquez in the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
- Tripathi sworn in as Mizoram governor
- West Bengal and Bihar Governor K.N. Tripathi, who has been given additional charge of Mizoram, was sworn in as the 16th governor of the northeastern state here on Saturday.
- Justice Michael Zothankhuma of the Gauhati High Court administered the oath of office to Tripathi, 80, at the Durbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan here.
