Veterinary Officer Pay Scale
The initial pay is Rs 47600/-. The fixed emolument equal to Minimum Pay without any allowance will be paid during the probation period of 3 years
Educational Qualification for PPSC Veterinary Officer
The candidate:
- Should possess Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from a University recognized by the Veterinary Council of India; and
- Should be registered with the Punjab Veterinary Council.
- Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard is essential
Age limit of PPSC Veterinary Officer
Candidates should not be below 18 years and above 37 years of age as on 01-01-2021.

Scheme of Selection of PPSC Veterinary Officer
The procedure for selection of candidates for the post of veterinary officers is as follows:
- Written Competitive Examination – 120 Questions – Consists of 480 marks
- Interview – Consists of 60 marks
The Total Marks is 540
The written competitive examination for the post will be scheduled tentatively in April, 2022. The test would be of two (02) hours duration.
The Examination is a Pen & Paper-based Test, to be answered on the specially designed machine gradable OMR sheet using Ball Point Pen
Pattern of Veterinary Officer Exam
The examination comprising of 120 questions (@ 4 marks for each question) is as follows:
- Questions from the Subject – 100 Questions – Consists of 400 marks
- Questions from Logical Reasoning, Mental ability and General Knowledge: 20 Questions – Consists of 80 marks
There will be Negative Marking (One Mark for each question) in the written examination for questions wrongly answered i.e. for each incorrect answer, 1 (One) mark will be deducted from the total score
