The online applications for the post will open on 2nd December, 2021 and go on till 31st December, 2021. There are total of 197 posts to be filled. The vacancies have been released separately for TSP and Non-TSP regions.

RSMSSB Motor Vehicle Sub-Inspector: Qualification
- 10th Passed with with Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering and having 1 year experience.
- Valid Driving License
- Knowledge of the Hindi language and culture of Rajasthan.
- Experience of 1 year of petrol and diesel engine repairing of light and heavy vehicles from a renowned automobile workshop.
RSMSSB Motor Vehicle Sub-Inspector: Exam Pattern
The selection process consists of three papers:
- Paper 1: General Knowledge & Day to day Science consists of 100 marks, Duration: 2 hours
- Paper 2: Language Exam (Hindi & English) consists of 100 marks, Duration: 2 hours
- Paper 3: Automobile & Mechanical Engineering consists of 200 marks, Duration: 3 hours

- INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES :- Classification, two stroke and four stroke cycles, their relative merits and demerits. Constructional details, working and special features of petrol and diesel Engines and their components. I.C. engine system, components and their working. Air-fuel supply system and fuel used. Cooling systems and coolants. Lubrication systems, lubricant and their properties. Ignition systems and system equipments. MPFI and CRDI system. SI and CI Engine combustion chambers.
- I.C. ENGINE TESTING AND PERFORMANCE :- Performance parameters, finding of I.H.P., BHP, FHP by Morse test, methods of finding BHP by dynamometers. Mechanical, Thermal, Volumetric, Air standard and Relative efficiencies of I.C. engine. Heat balance sheet. Combustion phenomenon in SI and CI engines, pre ignition. - AUTO VEHICLES SYSTEMS :- Power transmission system, auto electrical equipment and system. Brakes, Braking system and its components, Anti Braking System. Frames and suspension system, Steering and steering geometry. Power steering system and their function.
- WHEEL AND TYRES :- Types of wheels, wheel alignment, types of tyres, tyre specification, importance of maintaining tyre pressure, tyre troubles and repair. Tyre retreading (cold and hot).
