- Bharatiya Janata Party chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi on Monday released a comic book based on her life.
- The 32-page comic with Hindi text has illustrations telling the story of the first woman IPS officer of the country.
- Health minister JP Nadda declares 10 February as National Deworming Day
- Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda has declared 10 February as the National Deworming Day.
- National Deworming Day is an initiative which is focused on reducing the threat of parasitic worm infections, a widespread health issue affecting over 24 crore children in India alone according to WHO estimates.
- The initiative will be aimed at providing Albendazole tablets to children.
- Nadda said that around 65% children will be covered under the programme on February 10 and the remaining will be covered between February 11 and 14.

- AAP wins in a landslide victory
- In a near sweep, the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday decimated the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress by recorded a landslide victory, securing 67 of the 70 seats in the Delhi assembly elections.
- The BJP’s humiliation was complete with its chief ministerial face Kiran Bedi losing in the traditional stronghold of Krishna Nagar which was long held by party veteran Harsh Vardhan.
- The BJP won three seats.
- Congress, which ruled the national capital for 15 years till December 2013, has been reduced to zero.
- AAP got 54.3% vote share, BJP 32.3%.

- China today launched its first cruise liner to sailBSE -1.62 % via its ambitious transcontinental initiative Maritime Silk Road (MSR) on its maiden voyage during which it will visit three South-East Asian nations including Malaysia and Vietnam.
- The 21st century MSR project is an initiative of President Xi Jinping to string together partnerships with countries in the Asia-Pacific and the Indian Ocean, including India.
