- India can build $10 billion economy by 2034, said PricewaterhouseCoopers
- PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) said India has an opportunity to build a $10 trillion economy by 2034 with a growth rate of 9 per cent per annum.
- PwC released report titled “Future of India: The Winning Leap”.
- The report says that up to 40 per cent of India’s $10 trillion economy of 2034 could be derived from new solutions.
- Former Union Minister Murli Deora dies
- Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Murli Deora passed away at age of 77 after prolonged illness.
- He was an economics graduate and was Mayor of Mumbai from 1977 to 1978 and was later elected to the Lok Sabha four times from Mumbai South.
- He held the portfolio of Petroleum and Natural Gas during the UPA—1 regime.
- National Security Advisor (NSA) Doval appointed Special Representative for talks with China
- National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval has been appointed Special Representative for talks with China on the boundary issue.
- The post of Special Representative has been vacant since the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government demitted office and the last Special Representative was former NSA Shivshankar Menon.
- Canada offers Uranium
- Brad Wall, Premier of the Saskatchewan province in Canada, who was on an official visit to India from November 16-23said: “We are looking for uranium exports to India and have held preliminary discussions with officials of the Atomic Energy Commission and hope to conclude an early agreement.”
