- Olympic champions Germany won 10th Champions Trophy by beating Pakistan 2-0.

- Miss South Africa, 22-year-old Rolene Strauss, was crowned Miss World 2014 in London.
- Miss Hungary, Edina Kulcsar, was judged the runner-up and Miss United States, Elizabeth Safrit, came third in the 64th annual competition.
- India’s Koyal Rana made it to the top 10 of Miss World 2014 before getting eliminated. She made the country proud by winning the coveted title ‘Beauty With A Purpose’.
