- BCCL, Flipkart and IndiGo named India’s ‘local dynamos’
- The Boston Consultancy Group (BCG) has named Bennett, Coleman & Co (BCCL), owner of The Times of India and The Economic Times.
- It has also named Flipkart and IndiGo alongside as ‘local dynamos’.
- Amit Mathew has been selected as the chairman of Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) for the year 2014-15. He is resident editor and director of Malayala Manorama.
- Zomato has acquired Poland’s restaurant search service, Gastronauci.
- Google launched new social media campaign to increase internet literacy among women in India.
- Google has tied up MARD, an initiative started by Bollywood actor-cum-director Farhan Akhtar for women ‘Helping Women get online’ (HWGO).
- HWGO is launched by Google in collaboration with Axis Bank, Intel and Hindustan Unilever.
- Sachin Tendulkar along with Australian former captain Steve Waugh will be inducted as Bradman honouree on October 29.
