- Shahrukh Khan named as Ambassador of DHFL
- Housing finance company, DHFL announced Bollywood celebrity Shah Rukh Khan as its Brand Ambassador.

- Bilal Tanweer wins Shakti Bhatt First Book Prize
- Lahore-based author Bilal Tanweer’s maiden novel The Scatter Here is Too Great has bagged the 2014 Shakti Bhatt First Book Prize.
- The award carries a cash component of Rs. 2 lakh.
- Born and raised in Karachi, Mr. Tanweer has published fiction, poetry and translation in various international journals.
- He was selected as a ‘Granta New Voice’ in 2011.
- World Observes International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women
- The United Nations’ (UN) International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was observed yesterday i.e. on 25th November.
- It has been observed on November 25 each year since 2000.
- The United Nations’ (UN) International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is an occasion for governments, international organizations and non-governmental organizations to raise public awareness of violence against women.
- Haryana reduces retirement age from 60 to 58 years
- Reversing the decision of the previous government, the Haryana government said that retirement age would be reduced from 60 to 58 years.
