    • Finance Minister O. Panneerselvam will be the new CM of Tamil Nadu after Jayalalithaa is convicted by special court in disproportionate asset case.
  2. Nation pays tribute to Bhagat Singh on his 107th birthday. Bhagat Singh was born on September 28, 1907 in Jaranwala Tehsil in Punjab.
  3. Justice H.L Dattu sworn in as 42nd Chief Justice of India
    1. He will resume the office of Chief Justice of India till December 2, 2015.
    2. He succeeded Chief Justice RM Lodha who resigned office on September 27.
