   • A study by The Boston Consulting group and totaljobs.com revealed that London is above New York and Paris as the most popular destination for workers.
   • United States retained its top spot as popular country followed by Britain.
5. Public Private Partnership for power distribution,  Deepak Parekh committee proposes
   • A high-level government committee on infrastructure has proposed a public-private partnership (PPP) model for power distribution starting with cities.
   • It also proposed the modernization of public-sector discoms with viability gap funding by the Centre.
   • It proposed to have a unique model to privatize coal mining where Coal India or its arms retain ownership of mines.
   • The final report will also recommend reserving 15% of the power generation capacity of Central PSUs for open access consumers. It will create competition and attract private investment in power generation.
